Our Story
The Balberan Family, originally from Cagayan De Oro City, started the business out of genuine passion for great home-prepared meals. With the help of the precious cooking talent of their mother, Mrs. ALICIA DACUT-BALBERAN, they opened a grilled chicken business in the resort town of Kalibo, Aklan in 2003 to take advantage of the booming tourism in the area, while allowing customers to sample their unique sauces and mixes that gave its products a distinct taste.
The family moved to Lucena City, Quezon Province where they eventually settled. The restaurant has since been renamed to De Oro BBQ King to pay homage to its roots. The operation has since expanded to a number of stores in the province of Quezon, and Camarines Sur in Southern Luzon area.
Owing to the potential of the product quality to make it big in a bigger arena, the company intends to expand in booming towns and cities of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao through franchising.
